‘Adopt the pace of nature
her secret is patience’
Cyanotypes are an historical alternative photographic technique traditionally used by botanical archivists.
I collect delicate specimins from hedgerow, fieldside, woodlands and gardens, often capturing their ephemeral beauty by drying in a hand-made flower press.
Cyanotypes are created in my dark room and garden cyanotype studio, some are embellised with pale gold watercolour.
The cyanotype process is archival, however the artwork may fade, as any paper-based art will, if placed in direct sunlight.
