About Olwynne

My childhood was spent in the Garden of England on a Kentish fruit farm, this shaped my response to the natural world and the turn of the seasons. Time living in London – where Kew Gardens was my second home – and then in New Zealand has reinforced my love of nature … the structure of a fern, the play of a feather in the wind, the sun-worship of the simplest field-side plant.

After years working in art administration curating exhibitions, producing catalogues and editing artbooks, my career path changed and I returned to my passion for food, farming & the countryside but in the digital world as creative content manager for a large Cotswold estate.

2020 turned my life on its head; responding with an agile and positive outlook, I launched my own web-design company easypeasyDigital to provide digital services to ‘artists, artisans, makers & growers’.

Alongside my web-projects I continue to explore a passion for alternative photography and create art beyond the digital world.

Now based in Wiltshire, Flax & Feather Designs is wholly an expression of my delight in the process of cyanotype … the touch of magic that the contact of sunlight brings to the botanicals and feathers that inspire me.

This quiet, solitary process fills me with joy and I hope this can be felt in the unique artworks that I create.
